Kim’s fairytale wedding takes priority tomorrow 3 months after she met her beau, Kris Humphries of the New Jersey Nets. Funny how the K brand grows! She’ll wear a megabucks knockout Vera Wang gown, one of four over the weekend. You probably don’t have an invitation to the security-wrapped estate in Montecito just a rice throw from Oprah Winfrey’s mansion, but you will be able to watch it.
In fact, despite the reported $20 million costs for the nuptials, it looks as if it will turn into a moneymaking venture for the newlyweds. E! Entertainment is filming it for two 1-hour specials for broadcast Oct. 9 and 10. Doubtless Kim and Kris get their own spinoff series from Keeping Up With the Kardashians, too, and that’s guaranteed a two-season minimum, maybe longer if the marriage isn’t upended with a bust-up.
The couple celebrated their rehearsal dinner with 75 family and friends last night at Scarpetta in L.A., which they completely took over. Among the stars attending tomorrow’s matrimony will be every Kardashian family member, her Dancing With the Stars partner Mark Ballas, Ryan Seacrest, Justin Bieber, Jennifer Lopez, Eva Longoria, maybe a very, very pregnant former Peepshow star Mel B if she doesn’t dash to the maternity room and even late-night Fox political commentator Greta Van Susteren.
